  • The Health Board is not making enough progress to ensure timely and equitable access to cancer diagnosis and treatment. Performance against the Suspected Cancer Pathway (SCP) remains below the 75% target. In 2025–26, only 63.2% of patients started treatment within 62 days. The Health Board has, however, managed a substantial increase in cancer service demand without a corresponding significant worsening of waiting times performance. Although short-term recovery actions have helped the Health Board manage demand growth, they are not delivering lasting improvement.
