We are looking at the progress of the public sector in addressing the issues we raised in our 2022 report on readiness for net zero carbon by 2030.
The Welsh Government has set a challenging collective ambition for the Welsh public sector to achieve net zero carbon by 2030. Our 2022 report found ‘clear uncertainty’ that the public sector would achieve this ambition. We want to understand the progress made by the public sector against the issues we raised last time and the progress towards the overall net zero ambition.
