More about this event

This event is a webinar, in partnership with the Welsh Local Governement Association and the Welsh NHS Confederation. A link to watch the webinar will be sent in advance. It will be recorded and made available to view following the event, on our website.
This event is aimed at all non-executive officers and councillors, including those who have a governance and scrutiny role in the Welsh public sector.
Currently, the UK will leave the European Union on 29 March 2019. It will involve significant changes for public services. There will be risks to manage and opportunities to exploit. The Auditor General published his report on Preparations in Wales for a ‘no-deal’ Brexit on 19 February 2019. Amongst the key messages of that report was a call for greater independent scrutiny of Brexit planning by elected members and independent members of the boards of Wales’ public services.
