We focussed on the Council’s arrangements to ensure staff complete Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs) that comply with the Council’s Equalities and Inclusion strategy 2020-2024.
While the Council has arrangements to ensure equality impact assessments are now completed, there is a risk that it is not always involving the necessary persons and not undertaking such engagement and consulting more broadly at a sufficiently early stage to inform decision-making.
