Podcast: Poverty and Community Resilience

30 May 2023
  • Our latest podcast follows our recent reports and events on poverty, social enterprises, and community resilience.

Here, Wren Radford, a lecturer in liberal arts at the university of Manchester, and Siobhan Parry of the mental health and social change charity Platfform, discuss their work in reaching out to people and communities experiencing poverty.

Issues discussed in the podcast include the importance of asking “what’s happened to you?” rather than “what’s wrong with you?”, and the role creativity and community-based projects play in helping people overcome adversity.

You can listen to the podcast via Soundcloud or read the transcript provided.
