About the role

Audit Wales is looking to recruit a part time Business Support Officer based in our Audit Development and Guidance (AD&G) team, which is responsible for the development of our audit approaches and other guidance; our research and development activities; and our system of audit quality management.

While the successful candidate will be able to work flexibly in line with our Smarter Working Policy, he or she will be expected to attend our Cardiff office on a regular basis to support meetings, training and other events as well as occasionally contributing to other activities across Wales, such as career fairs and good practice seminars.

We are looking for a highly motivated person to be part of our energetic and resilient team.  You will be responsible for general administrative duties in supporting AD&G and confident in maintaining ownership of your own work. You will primarily be responsible for supporting the team of 12 people and others including some aspects of budget management; administration of SharePoint sites; updating our HR/L&D (iTrent) platform for technical training courses; arranging training events; administration of the town and community council audits; diary management; and some aspects of the graduate and apprentice training programmes. Training will be provided on specific IT packages, but the successful candidate will have demonstrable experience and confidence in the use of variety of digital applications.

Working with our AD&G Team

This role is based within our AD&G Team, where you will join a group of fellow professional and forward thinking individuals who all complement each other to achieve individual, team and organisation goals.

There’s no such thing as a typical day and the administrative support you provide to the team will vary working across a broad range of areas from research and development, town and community council audit to the graduate and apprentice programme. You will provide a vital and valued role in supporting the AD&G team and other parts of Audit Services.
