Electricity Savings at the International Sports Village - Ne...

The Council's Energy team has introduced a number of energy-saving initiatives within Newport's International Sports Village. The latter is made up of two buildings - one is comprised ofa swimming pool complex, fitness facilities and an indoor tennis centre; whereas and the second building is a Velodrome. These facilities inherently consume large amounts of electricity on air handling, low pressure hot water pumping and lighting loads.

Energy Efficiency Building - Rhondda Cynon Taf County Boroug...

The County Council built an energy efficiency edifice of 1,032m to replace an old nursery unit. It now serves as a nursery, a creche, as well as a meeting room complex. The local residents and prospective end users were requested to provide their input on the project before its initiation. This was in regard to use of the building, colour schemes and the needs of the local residents.

The Health Board identified inefficient and unreliable uses of energy at a 4,474m2 Community Hospital. These include heating systems, domestic hot water boilers, fiues, zone control valves and a building management system.

Saving through Tumble Dryer Replacements - Flintshire County...

The Council's three Residential Homes had electric tumble dryers, for the simple reason that they were cheap to buy when the homes were being refurbished a few years ago. However, it was identified that the use of electric tumble dryers were not cheap to run.
