South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority - Annual Improvement Report 2014

The report covers the Authority’s delivery and evaluation of services in relation to 2012-13, its planning of improvement for 2013-14 and 2014-15 and, taking these into account, records the Auditor General’s conclusion on whether the Authority will make arrangements to secure continuous improvement for 2014-15.

The Authority is delivering improvement in its core functions. The Authority has discharged its improvement reporting duties. The Authority has discharged its improvement planning duties but continued decisive leadership will be needed to address the financial challenges ahead. The Authority is likely to comply with the statutory requirement to make arrangements to secure continuous improvement in 2014-15.
