A Review of the Impact of Private Practice on NHS Provision

The Auditor General has undertaken an examination of national and local approaches to managing the impacts of private practice on NHS provision.

It concludes that while private practice represents a very small level of activity when compared to the total NHS activity that takes place in Wales, health boards lack controls to ensure that private practice work is not impacting on the provision of NHS services.
