The report covers Denbighshire County Council’s (the Council) delivery and evaluation of its services in 2012-13, its planning for improvement in 2013-14 and, taking these into account, concludes whether the Auditor General believes that the Council will make arrangements to secure continuous improvement for 2014-15.
The Council made good progress in delivering improvements in all of its priority objectives for 2012-13 but further improvements are required in a few key services. The Council’s service challenge reviews and other measures to self-evaluate its performance are robust. The Council’s planning for improvement and its arrangements to support improvement are good. The Council is likely to make arrangements to secure continuous improvement for 2014-15.
